We live in a society that is constantly moving and changing. From a very early age we learn to keep moving or fall behind. We get so lost in the hustle and bustle of our daily routines that we rarely “stop and smell the roses.” Sometimes I wake up in the morning with nothing in my head except a long list of things that need to get done and how I can mark them off my list by the end of the day. It’s almost like living life with tunnel vision. You spend so much time focused on a goal or a final destination that you completely miss out on the journey. I want to fully embrace that journey and enjoy every minute of it that I can. I’m completely blessed to have been able to see a little bit of the world and there is still so much out there to see. The more of this world I see, the smaller I feel in it. There is not a day that goes by without seeing or experiencing something that leaves me in complete awe and counting my blessings. This world is a beautiful place with millions of new discoveries waiting for everyone of us. There are little hidden treasures around every corner, in every town, even in your own back yard. I try my best to press pause on my life at least once a day and take in a new part of God’s masterpiece. It completely baffles me sometimes the extent of his work and how easily it can be overlooked. It’s that perfect sunset that you catch at the right time. It’s the view from the top of a mountain that makes everyone look like ants. The thunderstorm that you can see coming from miles away. It may not even be something physical at all. It may be getting a call from just the right person on a bad day. A conversation with a random stranger that you find out you have so many things in common with. A kiss or a hug from a loved one that makes the world stand still. A random song that reminds you of your childhood. You really never know where it is going to come from but I promise you there are millions of miracles all around you. I can feel God working in my life everyday and with every second I take to admire his miracles I take another to thank him for it.
“I praise and adore
You made the world beautiful
I can not stand and deny
You created life
And some live without it”
